What is conference interpreting?
Conference interpreting is live spoken language support for multilingual events. A professional interpreter listens to the speaker and gives the message in another language. What is the difference between translation and interpreting for events?

How far in advance should we book conference interpreting services?
For common European and global languages, booking 4 to 6 weeks ahead is usually suitable. For specialist sectors, rare languages or peak conference periods, eight to twelve weeks is safer. Early booking gives us time to secure the right interpreters, brief them properly and plan the venue setup.
Do interpreters need preparation materials?
Yes. Preparation materials help interpreters interpret more accurately. Useful materials include the agenda, speaker names, slide decks, scripts, terminology, acronyms, product names and background notes. The earlier these are shared, the better prepared the interpreting team will be.
Can you support remote or hybrid interpretation?
Yes. EMS Events can provide interpreting support for live, hybrid and streamed events. This depends on the event format, language needs, and technical setup.
